We are a giving circle
Local Community members gathering together quarterly to make a difference. Each meeting a New Non-Profit organization will be selected as a recipient of collected donations. Each member is responsible for donating $100 cash or check to the voted-on organization.
Our process is simple and thoughtful.
We will meet quarterly and each member donates $100. Members can nominate a non-profit organization at each meeting. They will have 5 minutes to present a compelling story/history about an organization; and a vote is taken the same night.
Nonprofit qualifications:
501C 3
No Churches
No Politics
When an organization is chosen, they are not eligible for additional funds for 2 years. If your organization is NOT selected it will go back into the drawing for the next meeting.

The history of the giving circle was started by Karen Dungigan in Jackson MI in 2006. Karen found out about a need for the Center for Family Health, new mothers didn’t have cribs. Karen thought she could easily get 10 friends to write a $1000 check, but she decided instead to ask more friends to write only a $100 check. The need was filled immediately with over $12,000 collected in one night, raising money for not only cribs, but also mattresses, blankets and beds.
